California is a great state for families. With beautiful and diverse natural landscapes, plentiful economic opportunities, many housing options, a dedication to education, and tons of entertainment and fun things to do, its no wonder why parents choose to raise their children in the state. But, how do you choose which community to settle down in. There are so many family friendly cities located throughout the state. A recent study ranked the best communities for families and the results are in......El Dorado Hills was ranked as the #8 best community to raise a family in California!!

To determine the rankings, financial website Wallethub compared 240 cities across the state and looked at four key dimensions…(1)Education, Health, & Safety, (2)Family Life & Fun, (3)Socioeconomic Environment, and (4)Affordability. Within these dimensions, 21 metrics were used to evaluate the scores. These metrics included factors such as quality of school system, crime rates per capita, number of playgrounds and attractions, housing and general affordability, unemployment rate, and foreclosure rate. El Dorado Hills truly came out on top!
