In fact, about two dozen wineries are within minutes of the town, resulting in the nickname 'The Tuscany of California.' Fabulously old oak trees line country roads that are routinely enjoyed by bicyclists. A couple of cafes serve both lattes, great bakery, and country charm.

Omo Ranch

Omo Ranch is fittingly located along Omo Ranch Road, a scenic route through wine country in the foothills, and bordered by some wonderful Omo Ranch real estate. It is also in El Dorado County, but at a higher elevation of about 3500 feet. The area is awash in wildflowers early in the season.
